You will work on fake skin first, then live models. Our classes have minimum requirements as to how many procedures that you have to complete on live models to graduate.

Do I have to get my own model for the class?

If you are from out of town, we will supply the models. If you are local, it is in your best interest to supply your own models for the following reasons:

  • You will do the follow-up visit on that model in your place of business
  • Provided the model gives you permission, you can start your portfolio with the photos taken during the class. If Collett Academy gets the model, the photos will be the property of Collett Academy
  • It gives you more practice on someone that you already know before doing strangers
  • It will start your referrals in your circle of friends and family

Do you offer a starter kit?

Yes, We have complimentary starter kits for all the fundamental beginner classes and the cost is valued at $450 per kit. The kit contains all of the necessary things that you need to start tattooing. State laws for performing Permanent Makeup

Each of the 50 states have their own laws and regulations.  We cannot keep up on state and local laws because they change frequently.  We can only advise you on where to find the information for your state.  On our website, go to the STATE REGULATIONS tab under helpful links to look up your state.

How many students are in the classes?

We keep our classes small, so each of our students to get the one on one attention that they need for a quality education.

What are the closest hotels?

Collett Academy has partnered with 2 local hotels that are conveniently located within a 1/2 mile from the school.  They both offer our students a discount. https://collettacademy.com/hotel-accommodations-in-az/

When are your class dates?

They are listed on the homepage and on the classes pages.

I don't need to learn how to design brows because I have been doing it for years!

Designing brows for topical makeup is different than designing brows for a natural look. We teach you the difference in class. Many makeup artists struggle as a tattooed brow should be smaller and more delicate than a drawn brow. They are meant to not look like makeup.

How do I sign up?

Either call at (844) 768-2223 Ext-1 or fill out a contact form on the right side of this page.

How can I become a model?

Give us a call and we will schedule you a time during a class. There is a $100 fee for models and a credit card is charged at the time of scheduling. The fee is non-refundable with less than a 48-hour notice of cancellation.

Tell me about the machine that you offer for the class.

Buying a machine is optional but highly recommended. We have machines and supplies for our students to use during class hours if you choose not to purchase one. We offer 2 high quality, versatile machines. Each offers precision tip cartridge style needles which are the safest type to use.

Machine # 1 is a Bombtech Machine for $750 plus tax. It is a small hand held, 5 speed, digital machine. We chose this machine due to the quality and the low price. This machine can also be used for Microneedling by simply changing out the tip. If you plan to do micro needling in the future, this is the best choice due to the speed of this machine. This machine is small and very portable.

Machine # 2 is the REVO Machine for $500 plus tax. This machine comes with a base that triggers the power the hand tool to automatically turn on when picked up. It is small and portable also with a wide variety of needles to choose from. This is a great and versatile machine to start your business with.

I’m an esthetician, cosmetologist or nail technician do I really need the whole class or does my former education count?

Everyone in our fundamental Microblading and Machine courses will need a minimum of 90 hours of study and former education does not count as credit hours.

Can I make payments?
